Ric Rocca is a senior business leader with leadership skills developed across a broad array of skill sets and experiences including strategy, entrepreneurship, and finance.
Ric’s initial career was spent in the finance and I.T. functions, with Arthur Anderson and then with the Marriott Corporation. Ric has also held senior leadership roles with his own company FutureKids, as well as a range of boards, both business and charitable.
Ric honed his line leadership skills when he served as President of Renaissance Learning, providing learning information systems and related services to more than 65,000 schools throughout the US and Canada. While in this role, he built teams from start up to maturity and drove the selection processes for top talent in sales, finance, and operational roles.
After leaving Renaissance, Ric served as Senior Vice President of Strategy for Sodexo, a multi-national service company with operations in 77 countries. While in the role, Ric helped architect and build the company’s strategy function, importing talent to drive growth and build additional core competencies into the organization leading to substantial success in the areas of growth, talent selection, and key leadership retention.
Ric left Sodexo in 2008, and has since proceeded to build his own company as a multi-unit franchisor of JimmyJohns restaurants, now owning 10 locations in the Pacific Northwest. He additionally serves as finance practice leader for Gravitas, a retained executive search firm, and continues his service on a variety of boards.
Ric is a graduate of the University of Idaho, earning a B.S. in Finance in 1977 cum laude. Ric also has an MBA from Washington State University in 1980.
In his free time, Ric enjoys boating, golf, travel, reading, and spending time with his two grown children and his wife, Kathy, in Spokane WA.
